I Will Carry You

I Will Carry You
by Todd and Angie Smith

There were photographs I wanted to take
Things I wanted to show you
Sing sweet lullabies, wipe your teary eyes
Who could love you like this?

People say that I am brave but I'm not
Truth is I'm barely hanging on
But there's a greater story
Written long before me
Because He loves you like this

So I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All my life
And I will praise the One Who's chosen me
To carry you

Such a short time
Such a long road
All this madness
But I know
That the silence
Has brought me to His voice
And He says...

I've shown him photographs of time beginning
Walked him through the parted seas
Angel lullabies, no more teary eyes
Who could love him like this?

I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All your life
And I will praise the One Who's chosen Me
To carry you

What an unbelievable song...I'm sure you identify with it a a great extent, more than any of us can even imagine. Just want you to know that I am praying for you, Matthew, and your whole family. Thank you for sharing your life with us, and for letting us come along beside you in this time of your life. I can't wait to see how God uses Matthew's life to touch others. Even now, He is using your lives and testimony. Thank you, Kristi

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. And whetever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Thank you for sharing your story!

I enjoyed reading your blog today. Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing your journey with us. God is growing all of us in different ways and our growth takes place best in the context of relationship. Sometimes that is a blog.

Thanks again for sharing.

Kristi, I just finished reading your blog with tears streaming down my fact. My heart aches for you. We've been very concerned all school year as we knew the news was not hopeful. While our hearts break for you and I feel such saddness that you are being taken on this journey, I rejoice that you are not alone and that your faith is carrying you through. Little Sophie feels so badly when you are sad, she prays outloud each night that Mrs. Nanke would not have to be sad anymore. I know we do have a day coming, when you won't have to be sad anymore. On that day, we will all rejoice with you as your joy is made full. We are so very very sad and are lifting you before God's healing altar. All our love,
The Stutts. If there is every anything that we could do, we would be honored.

Kristi-
I was unaware of your family's situation until a random conversation with Terri H made me aware. I was telling her of the blogs I read and that a couple might be helpful to you. When she sent me your blog address and I read through it, I saw that you have already found Todd & Angie's blog as well as Stacey & Spencer's. I hope that their stories will give you confidence to walk through the days ahead but most of all, I pray that God will sustain you and your family through this. You all will be in my prayers.

I like the lyrics, the long sounds kind of sped up though.

Kristi,

Your pictures are radiant. Thanks for posting an up to date one of you and Kent! I was just upstairs looking through my closet and began laughing at all of my vests! :) Guess what, I just bought another one! HAHAHA Anyways, God used my clothes to bring you to mind today and I am so glad that He did! Much love to you and your family! You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love, Kristy
